NutriSwish Extra Strength has a distinctive ingredient profile, and you may notice a scent when you first open the bottle. You may also notice a corresponding note in its taste.
One of the ingredients is L-cysteine, an amino acid that contains sulfur. Sulfur-containing ingredients can have a recognizable scent and flavor. In a closed bottle, the scent may be especially noticeable in the air just above the liquid when the cap first comes off. That first impression may be stronger than the scent of the product during use.
A scent when opening the bottle does not, by itself, mean the product has spoiled. It can be part of the sensory experience of this Extra Strength formula. If the initial scent is more noticeable than you expected, give it a moment to pass, then use the product as directed and recap the bottle after use. There is no need to leave the bottle open.
